A privately held engineering firm is hiring a Sales Manager to lead growth efforts in the utility and heavy industrial sectors. This role involves developing strategic plans for environmental systems including air, water, and solids treatment technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise, strong client relationship skills, and experience working in power utility and construction. The position requires frequent travel to customer sites and corporate offices, with a focus on expanding market share and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The manager will also support training, mentoring, and coordination with internal engineering and service teams.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute territory business plans covering water, air, and solids treatment systems.
- Recruit, train, and guide sales engineers to support district expansion.
- Build relationships with clients, engineering firms, contractors, and strategic partners.
- Provide technical support and ensure proper system performance while identifying new opportunities.
- Conduct regular client visits, including monthly meetings at HQ and site consultations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, civil, or environmental).
- 10+ years of experience in technical sales within industrial or utility sectors.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in sales or business development.
- Proven success in entering new markets and growing revenue.
- Strong communication skills.
