Electrical Designer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team in Charlotte. This role is ideal for professionals with at least three years of experience in electrical design, particularly within the healthcare sector or similar complex building environments. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and documentation of electrical systems for healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems into overall building designs.
- Prepare construction documents, specifications, and design calculations.
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to support design development and construction administration.
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate with internal and external teams.
- Support senior engineers and project managers in delivering high-quality healthcare projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in healthcare or institutional projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software (e.g., SKM, ETAP).
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain.
