Job Title: Electrical Designer - Data Center (MEP)

About the Role:
Our Data Center focused client is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designers with 5-7 years of experience to join their dynamic MEP team, specializing in data center design. This role involves working closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop and implement electrical systems that meet the high-performance demands of mission-critical facilities. This client is actively growing both their mechanical and their electrical department on the technical side but also for project managers as well!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and fire alarm systems.
- Develop detailed electrical drawings and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and coordinated design solutions.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and code compliance checks.
- Participate in design reviews, QA/QC processes, and construction administration support.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data center design.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in electrical design within the MEP industry, with a focus on data centers or other mission-critical facilities such as healthcare or industrial.
- Proficiency in Revit is required; experience with AutoCAD and other design tools is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is a plus; PE licensure is a bonus.
