Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in MEP design and a specialized focus on healthcare facilities. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic and growing team in Charlotte, NC, with a clear path toward a Director-level leadership role. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering for MEP systems, demonstrate proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and hold an active PE license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for healthcare and other complex building projects, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated MEP solutions.
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
  • Conduct site visits, field inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and codes.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, specifications, and reports.
  • Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to produce and coordinate detailed electrical drawings.
  • Engage in project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
  • Stay current with industry trends, codes, and technologies, particularly in healthcare facility design.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives with the potential to transition into a leadership role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in MEP electrical design, with a strong portfolio of healthcare projects.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina required.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
