Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering, ideally in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and power study software (ETAP/SKM preferred).
- Strong understanding of NEC and state electrical codes.
- Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development.
- Professional certifications or licenses as applicable.
- Education and experience combination that demonstrates technical competency and leadership potential.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute electrical design tasks, producing complete construction documents including drawings and specifications.
- Ensure quality assurance and code compliance throughout the design process.
- Serve as a technical resource for engineers, designers, estimators, and project managers.
- Coordinate design efforts with project managers to meet scope and schedule requirements.
- Conduct engineering calculations and power studies.
- Attend coordination meetings with architects, MEP teams, general contractors, and clients.
- Mentor designers and support their professional development.
- Implement departmental design and CAD workflows.
- Collaborate with internal departments and CAD/BIM managers to ensure standards and processes are followed.
- Lead or supervise other engineers, designers, or drafters as needed.
