Eligible Locations: Multiple states across the Northeast, Mid‑Atlantic, Midwest, and Texas regions.

Overview

We are looking for a consultative B2B sales professional who can help commercial organizations make informed decisions about how they purchase and manage energy. This position is designed for someone who enjoys building new business, understands how to navigate complex buying environments, and can translate market dynamics into clear guidance for clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify prospective commercial clients through outbound outreach, professional networking, and market research.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Client Engagement

  • Meet with business leaders to understand operational priorities, financial objectives, and exposure to energy‑related risks.
  • Translate client needs into tailored strategies focused on cost control, reliability, and sustainability goals.

Market Insight

  • Monitor developments in energy pricing, regulatory updates, demand-side programs, and emerging technologies.
  • Apply these insights to help clients plan short‑term and long‑term strategies.

Proposal Development

  • Prepare clear, concise recommendations and present them to decision-makers across multiple organizational levels.
  • Communicate the financial and operational rationale behind each proposed approach.

Deal Management

  • Navigate client concerns, refine proposed solutions, and finalize commercial agreements.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue targets and overall book of business growth.

Internal Coordination

  • Work with internal operations, analysis, and support teams to ensure clients receive accurate data, smooth onboarding, and ongoing service consistency.

CRM and Activity Tracking

  • Maintain organized, detailed records of activity, contacts, and deal stages using standard CRM software.

Required Experience

  • At least three years of B2B sales experience, preferably in a consultative or technical field.
  • Experience in energy, sustainability, utilities, or a similar industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business independently and manage a full sales cycle.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable operating with autonomy while contributing to a collaborative sales environment.
