I'm partnering with a highly respected engineering and environmental consulting firm to find an experienced Engineering Geologist to join their Sacramento team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level professional to take on more responsibility, work on diverse projects, and grow into a leadership track.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and perform field investigations, including logging borings, test pits, and rock cores.
- Conduct geologic mapping, subsurface characterization, and hazard assessments.
- Prepare and review technical reports and recommendations for foundations, slope stability, and seismic evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists on multidisciplinary projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Approximately 5 years in engineering geology or related field.
- Education: Bachelor's in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline (Master's a plus).
- Licensure: California PG or ability to obtain within 12 months; CEG a plus.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage fieldwork and mentor junior staff.
