A growing commercial landscape contractor is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead overall business operations, financial performance, and growth initiatives. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who can oversee operations, manage financials, and drive sales performance across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day operations of the landscape construction division, including project delivery and field performance
- Oversee financial management, including budgeting, job costing, billing, and overall profitability
- Manage and develop the sales team, driving new business and revenue growth
- Work closely with executive leadership and report directly to the CFO
- Establish and improve processes related to billing, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards
- Build and mentor a strong leadership team across operations, project management, and sales
- Collaborate with clients, developers, and key stakeholders to support long-term relationships
Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in landscape construction, site development, or a related industry
- Strong understanding of accounting, job costing, billing cycles, and financial reporting
- Proven ability to manage and grow a sales team and drive revenue
- Experience overseeing multiple projects, teams, and operational units
- Strong business acumen with a track record of improving performance and profitability
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
