About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Geotechnical Department Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive operational excellence across Florida. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on both the technical and business aspects of geotechnical engineering. You'll oversee project delivery, mentor a talented team, and play a key role in client engagement and business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage the geotechnical department, including engineers, geologists, project managers, and technicians.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of geotechnical projects-from proposals to final deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Review technical reports, proposals, and calculations for accuracy and quality.
  • Manage department financials, including budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance.
  • Drive business development through client relationships and community involvement.
  • Foster a positive team culture and support staff development through training and mentorship.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 10+ years in civil/geotechnical engineering with proven leadership experience.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise, excellent communication, and client relationship-building skills.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated success managing budgets and driving profitability.
  • Education: BS in Civil or Geological Engineering (ABET-accredited). MS and PE/PG license preferred (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
