Job Title: Project Engineer - REMOTE


Position Overview:

We are partnered with a leading Geotechnical firm seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Project Engineer to join their innovative geotechnical team. This role is central to their project development process, focusing on the review of geotechnical reports and the creation of preliminary designs using their proprietary ground improvement technology. These designs serve as the foundation for project proposals developed by the sales engineering team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Review geotechnical and geological reports to assess site conditions and identify suitable ground improvement solutions.
  • Develop preliminary design concepts using the company's patented ground improvement systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers to translate technical designs into compelling project proposals.
  • Support the bid process by providing technical input, design rationale, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of design assumptions, calculations, and project documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify project requirements and constraints.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regional soil conditions, and emerging technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3-6 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or ground improvement design.
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation systems, and ground improvement techniques.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, gINT, LPILE, or equivalent).
  • Ability to interpret complex geotechnical data and translate it into practical design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams.
  • EIT or PE license preferred or in progress.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with proprietary or patented geotechnical systems.
  • Experience supporting sales or proposal development in a technical capacity.
  • Exposure to design-build or fast-track project environments.
