About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced GHG Auditor to join our client's sustainability and environmental services team in Tokyo. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting independent audits and verifications of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with international standards such as ISO 14064 and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and report on GHG verification and validation audits for corporate inventories and projects.
- Evaluate client data, systems, and controls related to GHG emissions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14064-1, 14064-2, and 14064-3 standards.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to clients.
- Stay updated on evolving environmental regulations and carbon market mechanisms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support sustainability initiatives and client engagements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Professional experience in GHG auditing, environmental consulting, or sustainability reporting.
- Certification or training in ISO 14064 auditing is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with carbon accounting tools and methodologies.
- Experience working with international clients or in a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of Japan's environmental regulations and carbon neutrality goals.
