Heavy Highway Project Managers & Superintendents
Locations: Casper, WY or Cheyenne, WY
Compensation: $115,000-$145,000 base salary, depending on experience
A well-established general contractor with a strong backlog of heavy highway and infrastructure work is seeking experienced Project Managers and Superintendents to support ongoing and upcoming projects across Wyoming. These positions will play key roles in delivering roadway, DOT, and heavy civil projects safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and/or oversee heavy highway construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate closely between field operations and project management teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal crews
- Monitor job costs, schedules, and production performance
- Maintain compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and DOT requirements
- Communicate effectively with owners, inspectors, engineers, and internal stakeholders
- Support project planning, execution, and closeout activities
Experience Needed
- 5-10+ years of experience in heavy highway or heavy civil construction
- Background in roadway, DOT, grading, paving, bridges, or related infrastructure work
- Experience working on public works and transportation projects
- For PMs: experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and job cost reporting
- For Superintendents: strong field leadership experience managing crews, equipment, and production
- Proven ability to deliver projects safely and efficiently
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of heavy highway construction methods and sequencing
- Ability to lead teams and coordinate across office and field operations
- Knowledge of safety regulations and DOT standards
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and basic office tools
- Experience operating in fastâpaced project environments
- Certifications or continuing education related to highway construction are a plus
