Interior Designer
New opportunity to work with a firm that has been in the industry for over 35 years. With a diverse project portfolio and emphasis on team collaboration and mentorship, this firm is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Interior Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in public sector projects to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in interior design. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver functional, compliant, and inspiring public spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and lead interior design projects from concept development through final execution.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and public stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop design documentation including space plans, material and finish selections, FF&E specifications, and construction drawings.
- Conduct site visits and assist with project coordination during installation phases.
- Ensure designs comply with ADA, LEED, and other relevant codes and standards.
- Participate in client presentations and public meetings to communicate design intent.
- Stay informed on trends in sustainable design and public sector innovations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in interior design, with a focus on public sector projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with public procurement processes and regulatory standards.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- NCIDQ certification or progress toward certification preferred.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
