This hybrid role offers the opportunity to lead planning and design efforts for cutting-edge laboratory and research facilities across academic, corporate, and government sectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead programming and planning for specialized lab environments, including vivariums, STEM spaces, and high-tech research facilities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate complex requirements into functional, flexible design solutions.
- Guide the development of construction documents and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
- Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to shape project vision and execution.
- Contribute to business development efforts through presentations and proposal support.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative studio culture.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in lab planning and architectural project leadership.
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard tools.
- Architectural licensure preferred.
- A deep understanding of laboratory design standards and technical systems.
