Principal Architect (Data Center)

We are seeking a Principal Architect (Data Center) to join its team in Singapore. This role is central to the continued growth of the firm's technical design capabilities and client partnerships in the data center and infrastructure space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: lead the design and coordination of complex data center and critical facility projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with performance standards.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, constructible, and resilient design solutions.
  • Business Development & Client Engagement: support client engagement and business development, including proposal preparation, presentations, and pursuit strategy.
  • Client Representation & Communication: represent the practice in client-facing roles, articulating design intent and technical strategies with clarity and professionalism.
  • Strategic Market Growth: contribute to the strategic growth of the mission-critical portfolio by identifying opportunities and supporting regional expansion.
  • Technical Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: provide technical mentorship to junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in architecture, with at least 5 years focused on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
  • Proven track record in leading full project life-cycles, from concept design through to construction administration, with a focus on technical excellence and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and grow client relationships, including experience in pursuit strategy, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Strong understanding of data center design principles, including MEP coordination, resiliency planning, and sustainability in high-performance environments.
  • Experience in leading and managing design teams, with the ability to mentor junior staff, coordinate across disciplines, and foster a collaborative team culture.
  • Exposure to multiple Asia Pacific markets, with knowledge of regional codes, standards, and cultural nuances.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows; familiarity with data centerspecific tools and platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently represent the firm in high-stakes client discussions.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, contribute to practice growth, and support long-term business development goals.
  • Professional degree in Architecture; registration/licensure preferred.
