Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and entrepreneurial Principal Civil/Environmental Engineer to lead and grow our environmental engineering practice. This individual will bring deep technical expertise and a strong business development acumen, with a focus on site development, environmental remediation, and waste management infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering complex projects and cultivating client relationships, particularly in the industrial, energy, and environmental sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil/environmental engineering projects, including:
- Site development for industrial, energy, and remediation sites
- Design of waste containment caps and engineered covers
- Barrier wall systems for groundwater remediation
- Soil stabilization and grading for contaminated sites
- Hazardous waste landfill design, maintenance, and compliance
- Landfill gas and leachate operations, monitoring, and management (OM&M)
- Serve as a technical expert and project manager on multidisciplinary teams.
- Drive business development efforts, leveraging existing relationships and identifying new opportunities to generate a minimum of $300K in annual revenue.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to staff development and team growth.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in civil/environmental engineering.
- PE license in NJ and/or PA is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following:
- Site development for industrial, energy, or remediation projects
- Environmental design for contaminated sites
- Landfill design and OM&M
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
- Track record of generating significant business (minimum $300K/year).
