Project Engineer (LV)
Overview:
A dynamic and growing consulting engineering firm with multiple locations is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in low voltage electrical systems for power generation projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement low voltage electrical systems for power generation projects.
- Perform detailed electrical calculations and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Collaborate with designers, contractors, and internal teams to develop electrical plans and specifications.
- Review project drawings and provide technical guidance on low voltage systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify proper installation and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage electrical systems.
- Participate in commissioning and testing to ensure optimal system performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Experience:
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience, EIT or PE license in the state of Texas.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Effective oral and written communication abilities.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; strong computer skills in project management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (preferred).
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms, and maintain good hearing and vision.
