Job Title: Mid-Level to Senior Project Manager - Engineering & Manufacturing

A mid-level to senior Project Manager is sought for a dynamic role within a well-established, 100% employee-owned engineering and architectural firm. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and ready to "hit the ground running," with a strong background in custom-engineered equipment-particularly in combustion and fuel oil systems.

This position involves full ownership of project profitability and scheduling. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset, capable of collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, including electrical, mechanical, systems, programming, and field service professionals. From initial sales concepts to final design delivery, the Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including budgets, submittals, fabrication, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design development from proposal stage to final engineering package
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and provide regular project updates
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall profitability
  • Coordinate with engineering teams across disciplines to ensure successful project execution
  • Interpret and apply relevant codes and standards
  • Read and understand electrical, mechanical, and construction drawings
  • Utilize internal systems for project tracking and management
  • Travel occasionally for meetings and site visits (approx. 10%)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing of custom-engineered equipment (experience with burner or boiler systems is a plus)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Familiarity with burner management systems and construction drawings/specifications
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar design software
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and takes pride in their work
  • Willingness to learn-training will be provided for the right candidate
