We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join our Tampa-based team. This role is ideal for a professional with 6-10 years of experience in fire protection design and consulting, looking to contribute to a diverse range of projects in healthcare, education, commercial, and institutional sectors. Responsibilities:
Lead the design and engineering of fire protection systems including sprinkler, standpipe, fire alarm, and smoke control systems.
Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and hydraulic calculations.
Perform code analysis and ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local building codes, and client requirements.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and construction administration tasks.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to internal quality control and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
6-10 years of experience in fire protection system design and consulting.
PE license preferred or in progress.
Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, including NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72, and 101.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
