Location: Middle Georgia (Macon or surrounding areas) - relocation assistance available

Overview:

LVI is looking for a meticulous and experienced Roof Inspector to join a dynamic building enclosure consulting team based out of Macon. In this role, you'll conduct comprehensive inspections of roofing systems across commercial, institutional, and residential properties. Your evaluations will help shape design decisions, maintenance strategies, and repair plans, ensuring every roof meets the highest standards of performance and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site inspections of various roofing systems (low-slope, steep-slope, metal, membrane, etc.) for new builds, existing structures, and forensic assessments.
  • Document findings through detailed field notes, photographs, and sketches.
  • Evaluate waterproofing, drainage, flashing, and overall integration with the building enclosure.
  • Identify deficiencies and risks, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review construction documents, specifications, and contractor submittals.
  • Monitor roof installations for quality assurance and compliance.
  • Prepare clear, comprehensive inspection reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and consultants on enclosure projects.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols during site visits.
  • Stay current on roofing technologies, building codes, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in roofing inspection, installation, or consulting.
  • Solid understanding of roofing systems and industry standards (NRCA, ASTM, IIBEC).
  • Certifications such as RRO, RRC, RWC, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting tools.
  • Physically capable of accessing rooftops and working in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
