Senior Project Manager - Utility-Scale Solar
Full-Time | Midwest (Travel Required)
We're partnered with a well-established contractor expanding its footprint in utility-scale renewable energy. With a strong legacy in heavy civil construction, they've built a dedicated solar division focused on delivering large-scale PV projects across the Midwest and beyond.
They're looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar projects from pre-construction through execution, overseeing field teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the full lifecycle of utility-scale solar projects (typically 50MW+)
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and contractual obligations
- Coordinate closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and clients
- Drive progress in the field while maintaining strong oversight of risks and timelines
- Support pre-construction efforts, including planning, estimating, and strategy
- Mentor and develop junior PMs, APMs, and project engineers
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards
What They're Looking For
- 8-12+ years of project management experience in construction
- Prior experience with utility-scale solar projects strongly preferred
- Background in EPC, heavy civil, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar projects end-to-end
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
