A top engineering firm in Savannah is seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Project Manager who is passionate about designing and delivering essential municipal water infrastructure. You will lead water resources projects from concept through construction, support business development efforts, and play a key role in mentoring junior staff.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong water resources engineer who excels in client‑facing interactions and collaborative project delivery. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Technical Expertise
- Lead the planning, modeling, and design of water resources projects, such as stormwater systems, watershed studies, green infrastructure, stream restoration, flood mitigation, and water quality improvements.
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical analyses, and design documentation aligned with regulatory standards and client objectives.
- Develop Basis of Design Reports, feasibility studies, engineering reports, and technical memoranda.
- Create, review, and update project specifications and construction documents.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with municipal clients, permitting agencies, and project stakeholders to advance projects through approval processes.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring milestones are met.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and project updates to clients, public entities, and community stakeholders.
Project Management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines-including civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and surveying-to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Support senior leadership in delivering cost‑effective, constructible, high‑quality solutions.
Business Development & Team Growth
- Assist with developing fee proposals, scopes of work, and Statements of Qualifications.
- Support marketing and business development efforts related to water resources services.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying future project opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team training and growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water resources engineering, or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- Demonstrated experience in water resources engineering and municipal infrastructure consulting.
- Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.
- Self‑driven, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to ethical, high‑quality engineering and professional conduct.
- Interest in mentoring junior staff and supporting team development.
