[SIN] Electrical Commissioning Director - Data Center
Position Overview
The Director of Electrical Commissioning will lead and manage electrical commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities across APAC, ensuring systems meet operational reliability and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement electrical commissioning strategies, standards, and procedures.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of commissioning managers and technical leads.
- Act as senior technical authority for electrical systems and monitoring platforms.
- Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning, and competency development.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, IEC).
- Coordinate with design, construction, operations, and client stakeholders.
- Lead root cause analysis and technical investigations for critical issues.
- Review electrical designs, single-line diagrams, and protective coordination studies.
- Approve commissioning test procedures and reports.
- Drive lessons-learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safety, environmental, and corporate compliance in all activities.
- Maintain knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
- Develop KPIs and metrics for performance and efficiency.
- Represent commissioning leadership in client meetings and technical reviews.
- Support business development through proposals and technical presentations.
- Build strong client relationships to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage regional teams, including training, performance appraisals, and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership in electrical commissioning for mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems, UPS, generators, PDUs, and monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with commissioning management software (e.g., CxMS, BIM360).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across regions.
- Certifications in safety and compliance (e.g., OSHA, NFPA70E) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard commissioning tools.
