Overview

An established, employee-owned engineering consultancy is seeking a Stormwater (Senior) Project Manager to join its growing Water Resources team in North Carolina. With a strong regional presence and a collaborative, people-first culture, the firm delivers impactful solutions across stormwater management, drainage, and watershed planning.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership-focused role with existing project work and team support already in place, offering both stability and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading stormwater and water resources projects including: stormwater management, watershed planning, drainage design, flood mitigation
  • Managing project delivery from planning through execution
  • Overseeing and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff
  • Coordinating with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of the stormwater team
  • Taking ownership of existing client relationships and project portfolios
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil preferred)
  • Active PE licensure in North Carolina
  • Proficiency in modelling tools such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar software are preferred
  • Stormwater Project Manager - minimum of 7 years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering
  • Stormwater Senior Project Manager - minimum of 12 years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering
