Structural Engineer

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred)
8+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering and project delivery
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Extensive knowledge of structural systems and engineering principles across materials (concrete, steel, wood, masonry)
Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, and local regulations)
Proven experience leading structural design on complex or large-scale projects
Ability to oversee and review work by junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
Experience in client-facing roles, including technical presentations and proposal development
Familiarity with construction processes, field observation, and construction administration
Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
Advanced coursework, certifications (e.g., SE license, seismic design), or involvement in professional organizations is a plus
Skills:
Expert in structural analysis and design tools (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RAM, RISA)
Proficient in BIM and CAD software (Revit, AutoCAD); experience with clash detection and model coordination
Strong leadership, mentorship, and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
Capable of quality control review, peer review, and developing internal standards
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Familiar with project management tools and document control systems (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Newforma)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced environment
