Role Overview
As a Superintendent, you will be the on-site leader responsible for managing field operations, ensuring safety compliance, and driving project delivery. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and field crews to execute deep foundation systems including drilled shafts, driven piles, micropiles, and ground improvement techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to specification
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project schedules
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications
- Lead and mentor field crews, fostering a culture of safety and accountability
- Maintain accurate site documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and progress tracking
- Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in geotechnical or heavy civil construction, with a focus on deep foundations
- Proven leadership in managing crews and subcontractors on active job sites
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and construction best practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel across the Southeast as needed
