Superintendent (Transmission Line)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Superintendent to oversee the construction and maintenance of high-voltage transmission line projects across Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility construction, leadership, and safety compliance, with the ability to manage crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of transmission line construction projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Manage scheduling, logistics, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission line construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of transmission line standards, materials, and construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in safety regulations and practices.
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel throughout Texas as needed.
- CDL and OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with 69kV to 500kV transmission lines.
- Familiarity with union and non-union environments.
- Storm restoration and emergency response experience.
- Experience working with major utilities or EPC contractors.
