A leading California-based surveying firm is expanding its land survey teams across the state and is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join one of its growing offices. Renowned for its robust backlog of boundary, monumentation, and right-of-way projects, the firm supports a wide range of development, infrastructure, and transportation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform boundary survey calculations and resolve boundary issues
- Draft precise legal descriptions
- Prepare maps for parcel maps, subdivisions, records of survey, corner records, and ALTA surveys
- Conduct construction staking calculations
- Support topographic and ALTA survey efforts
- Collaborate with field crews and utilize GPS and robotic total stations
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Proficiency in CAD software and field survey techniques
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Qualifications:
- CA Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or LSIT working toward licensure
- 3-5 years of office-based land surveying experience
- Experience with drone and 3D scanning technology (preferred)
- Valid CA driver's license with a clean driving record
