Overview
We are partnering with a fast-growing sustainability advisory firm that supports organisations across Australia and New Zealand in embedding sustainability into their core business strategy. The firm delivers high-impact advisory services across ESG, climate risk, and carbon management, helping clients navigate an evolving regulatory and stakeholder landscape.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant to join a collaborative and purpose-driven team, working on complex and meaningful projects across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of sustainability and ESG advisory projects for corporate clients
- Conduct carbon accounting assessments (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and support decarbonisation strategies
- Assist in the development of sustainability strategies and ESG frameworks
- Conduct climate risk and resilience assessments aligned with emerging reporting standards
- Support ESG and sustainability reporting, including regulatory compliance and disclosures
- Engage with clients to identify opportunities for improved environmental performance and operational efficiency
- Contribute to thought leadership and continuous improvement of advisory methodologies
Key Requirements
- 1-5 years' experience in sustainability, ESG, climate advisory, or environmental consulting
- Strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies and ESG frameworks
- Familiarity with climate-related disclosures (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, or Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards)
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Relevant degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or related field
Desirable Experience
- Experience in climate risk modelling or scenario analysis
- Exposure to water stewardship, modern slavery reporting, or broader ESG services
- Consulting or client-facing experience
- Knowledge of Australian regulatory landscape
