Traffic Engineer
A prominent multidisciplinary, employee-owned firm with a national presence is seeking an experienced Transportation Engineering Professional to join its Detroit, Michigan office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to advance their career within a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering design, traffic operations, and ITS design
- Professional Engineering (PE) license, or eligibility to obtain one within 6 months of hire
- Proficiency in traffic analysis and modeling software such as Synchro, Vissim, or HCS
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical staff
- Experience in Business Development and Marketing, including preparing proposals, budgets, and scopes of work
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute traffic engineering and transportation projects in the Detroit region and beyond
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and leadership across the firm
- Lead Business Development efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities and cultivating client relationships
