About the Opportunity:
A rapidly growing renewable energy developer and owner is seeking a Vice President of Asset Management to lead the financial and operational performance of its portfolio of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Community Solar projects. This is a strategic leadership role focused on maximizing revenue, optimizing financial returns, and driving long-term value across distributed generation assets.
You will have the autonomy to shape the asset management function, implement best practices, and influence company-wide strategy while working with a mission-driven team committed to accelerating the clean energy transition.
What You'll Do:
- Financial Optimization: Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue, manage costs, and enhance profitability across C&I and community solar assets.
- Performance Oversight: Monitor, analyze, and report on asset performance to ensure financial and operational targets are met.
- Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities for contract optimization, REC monetization, and innovative revenue streams.
- Team Leadership: Build and scale the asset management team, implementing best practices for lifecycle management and risk mitigation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, investors, and external partners to align objectives and deliver strong returns.
What We're Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in renewable energy asset management, with a strong focus on financial optimization and revenue generation.
- Deep understanding of project finance, PPAs, REC markets, and performance analytics.
- Proven leadership experience in scaling teams and managing distributed generation portfolios.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
- Based in Chicago, IL (4-1 schedule).
