Water Resources Manager - Stormwater
The Role
A well-established, ENR-ranked private engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Water Resources professional to lead and grow their stormwater and capital improvement practice in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is a group manager role - you will be at the helm of staffing, supervision, client management, and practice growth from day one.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and grow a water resources team focused on municipal stormwater and CIP work in Northern Colorado. Project types include municipal stormwater studies, drainage master plans, FEMA map revisions (LOMR/CLOMR), greenway design, stream mitigation, grant support, and capital improvement projects. You will own client relationships, drive business development, represent the firm in public settings, and mentor the team around you.
What They're Looking For
- 10+ years of engineering design and project management experience
- Strong stormwater and CIP background
- Colorado PE license required
- Proven business development skills and local market knowledge
- Experience working with local codes, ordinances, and public agency standards
- Strong communicator and presenter in front of boards, councils, and selection committees
- Financial management experience including proposals, budgets, and invoicing
Compensation
$125,000 - $190,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
