Water Treatment Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of complex water and wastewater treatment plant projects based out of Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, from planning and procurement through execution and closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of construction projects for water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Review and manage contracts, change orders, and cost control processes
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing construction projects for water and/or wastewater treatment plants
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with public works or municipal projects
  • Knowledge of treatment processes (e.g., membrane systems, biological treatment, filtration)
