My client is an internationally recognized environmental engineering firm that specializes in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities. They are seeking a Professional Civil/Environmental Engineer to support their vision of becoming the best water consulting firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects.
  • Preparation of plans, specifications, and reports for water/wastewater treatment and pumping facilities, wastewater collection systems, water transmission/distribution projects, and water/wastewater master plans/studies.
  • Coordinate engineering work for a project of moderate scope or as part of a major project.
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects.
  • System modeling.
  • Permitting and alternative analysis.
  • Preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
  • Data entry and analysis.
  • Provide engineering services during construction.
  • Participate in field activities such as pilot testing, construction phase observations, design phase field measurements, etc.
  • Ability to travel when requested.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or other similar Engineering field.
  • 4 to 8 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain Professional Engineering license within 1 year.
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and/or water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (e.g., WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM).
