The Opportunity
As an AI Engineer, you will work alongside process engineers, water treatment specialists, software developers, and leadership teams to develop intelligent solutions for complex water and wastewater treatment processes.
This role combines advanced data science and machine learning with real-world engineering applications, offering exposure to challenges involving process modelling, optimisation, predictive analytics, digital twins, and operational intelligence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop AI and machine learning models for water and wastewater treatment applications.
- Build predictive models to optimise treatment performance, asset reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Analyse large operational datasets generated from water treatment facilities and industrial processes.
- Support the development of digital twin and process simulation capabilities.
- Create data-driven solutions for process monitoring, anomaly detection, and predictive maintenance.
- Collaborate with process engineers to understand treatment plant performance and control challenges.
- Design and implement algorithms for intelligent process optimisation.
- Support cloud-based deployment of AI applications and analytics platforms.
- Participate in technology development, innovation initiatives, and product roadmap planning.
- Translate technical findings into practical recommendations for customers and stakeholders.
Required Experience
- Experience developing Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Advanced Analytics solutions.
- Strong programming capability in:
- Python
- SQL
- Data Analytics Frameworks
- Experience working with predictive modelling and optimisation techniques.
- Understanding of industrial processes, engineering systems, or operational technologies.
- Ability to manipulate, analyse, and interpret large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
