About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Architect with 8-12 years of professional experience to join our growing Raleigh office. The ideal candidate is proficient in Revit, has a strong background in healthcare design, and excels in leading projects from concept through construction. This is an opportunity to take on a key role within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team shaping innovative, patient-centered environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and documentation of healthcare projects, including hospitals, clinics, and specialized medical facilities.
  • Manage project phases from conceptual design through construction administration.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal team members to ensure quality, schedule, and technical accuracy.
  • Produce detailed construction documents using Revit and maintain model standards.
  • Conduct site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction oversight.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to evolving best practices within the studio.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, healthcare guidelines, and project requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect in the State of North Carolina (or ability to obtain NC reciprocity promptly).
  • 8-12 years of relevant professional architecture experience.
  • Healthcare design experience (acute care, outpatient facilities, or similar healthcare settings).
  • Proficiency in Revit for design, modeling, and construction documentation.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCARB certification.
  • Experience with healthcare codes, FGI Guidelines, and life safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with additional design and visualization tools (e.g., Enscape, BIM 360, Bluebeam).
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
