Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior technical advisor, applying advanced engineering principles and innovative methods to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Direct and manage project teams of engineers and technical staff, ensuring successful execution and delivery of complex bridge projects.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities and documentation for multiple large-scale projects or entire organizational programs.
- Lead the development and implementation of new techniques, processes, and solutions to improve efficiency and organizational performance.
- Apply risk management principles to identify and mitigate uncertainties throughout project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and performance objectives across all operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution; Master's degree preferred.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois; Structural Engineer (SE) certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering, including design and rehabilitation of complex structures.
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, STAAD, MDX, and related tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, Illinois DOT standards, and applicable federal regulations.
