Position Overview:
They are seeking a Building Envelope Consultant with a strong technical background in architecture or engineering. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both field and design work, and who thrives in a respectful, supportive environment. Licensure as an architect or engineer in Texas is preferred, but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Administration & Design: Lead CA efforts and contribute to design development, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Field Work: Perform on-site inspections, attend project meetings, and oversee critical envelope installations such as air barriers and window flashing.
- Technical Design Support: Use AutoCAD and Revit to support design documentation and detailing.
- Client & Contractor Interaction: Maintain professional and respectful communication to ensure smooth project execution.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other architectural firms and third-party reviewers to deliver successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Licensure Preferred: Registered Architect or Licensed Engineer in Texas (or actively pursuing licensure).
- Technical Expertise in building envelope systems, including waterproofing, air barriers, and thermal insulation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Field Experience with CA tasks and site observations.
- Strong Communication Skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Adaptability and a willingness to grow within a supportive team.
