Salary: $110,000-$175,000
Commissioning authority, sustainability-driven engineering, building systems performance. This role offers the chance to join an established commissioning team supporting high-impact projects across commercial, healthcare, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing markets. You will work in a collaborative, technically strong environment focused on improving building performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort. This is a hybrid, locally based role designed for professionals looking to reduce travel while continuing to grow technically and professionally.
The Commissioning Authority will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the commissioning process from design through occupancy for assigned projects
- Conducting field functional testing and on-site system verification
- Developing and executing pre-functional and functional test procedures
- Leading commissioning meetings and coordinating with owners, designers, contractors, and operators
- Documenting findings, maintaining issue logs, and preparing comprehensive commissioning reports
- Supporting project management activities including scheduling, coordination, and quality control
The Commissioning Authority should have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in building commissioning or related MEP roles
- Active commissioning certification such as ACG CxA, BCxA CCP, or ASHRAE BCxP
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, controls, and building operations
- Ability to travel locally with approximately 20% travel overall
