Construction Manager- ILLINOIS
My client, a respected and growing engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee major transportation and infrastructure projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams on large-scale construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on high-profile projects in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a team lead in coordinating a team of engineers, designers involved in the concept design, modification, analysis and construction of public and private infrastructure
- Develop and review transportation engineering plans and studies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
- Technical assignments may include roadway and highway geometrics, drainage system design, traffic analysis and design, maintenance of traffic, and other related tasks
Monitor progress and performance of projects, ensuring high-quality results - Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related field)
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in managing transportation projects
- Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles, roadway design, traffic engineering, and project management
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads
