Deal Advisory (Relationship Management)
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and relationship-driven Deal Manager to support renewable energy projects in Japan, with a focus on solar and wind. This role does not require deal origination but is critical in managing and advancing existing project opportunities through strong stakeholder engagement and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the execution of renewable energy deals (solar and wind) in Japan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, developers, utilities, and government agencies.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
- Support due diligence, contract negotiation, and deal structuring processes.
- Monitor market trends and regulatory developments relevant to renewable energy in Japan.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Japan to align project goals and time lines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing renewable energy projects or transactions, ideally in solar and/or wind.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
- Familiarity with Japan's energy market, regulatory landscape, and business culture.
- Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project finance, M&A, or business development in the energy sector.
- Technical understanding of solar and wind project development life cycle.
- Prior experience working with international energy companies or investors.
