About the Role:

LVI Associates are seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Director to join our clients Disputes & Advisory team in Houston, with a focus on commercial litigation and intellectual property matters involving financial damages. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex engagements, provide expert analysis, and support clients through high-stakes disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage engagements involving commercial disputes, IP infringement, breach of contract, and business interruption claims.
  • Quantify economic damages, lost profits, unjust enrichment, and diminution in value in litigation and arbitration contexts.
  • Analyze financial, operational, and market data to support damages assessments and expert reports.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategy, prepare expert testimony, and respond to opposing expert opinions.
  • Draft and review expert reports, rebuttals, and presentations for use in legal proceedings.
  • Serve as a testifying expert or support senior experts in deposition and trial settings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with law firms, corporate counsel, and industry experts.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to professional development within the team.
  • Support business development efforts through networking, thought leadership, and proposal writing.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in forensic accounting, litigation consulting, or economic damages analysis.
  • Strong expertise in commercial disputes and intellectual property valuation/damages.
  • Experience preparing or contributing to expert reports and testimony in litigation or arbitration.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, ASA, ABV, CFE, or equivalent.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
