Position Summary
The client is seeking a seasoned Director of Business Development to lead commercial growth across major real estate markets. This role requires a unique blend of technical fluency and relationship-building skills. You'll engage with developers, architects, engineers, and contractors to introduce cutting-edge water reuse systems and drive adoption across the built environment.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and close strategic opportunities in commercial real estate and infrastructure
Leverage industry relationships to expand market reach
Communicate technical, financial, and environmental benefits of water reuse systems
Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and respond to RFPs
Build and manage channel partnerships
Maintain sales pipeline and reporting through CRM
Represent the client at industry events and conferences
Provide market feedback to inform product development
Qualifications
10+ years of B2B sales experience in engineered systems, water/wastewater, or building technologies
Strong network in commercial and multifamily real estate
Familiarity with decentralized water or energy systems preferred
Experience with sustainability or compliance-driven technologies a plus
Technical fluency in water/wastewater topics
Proven success in consultative, high-value sales cycles
Ability to work with engineers and translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
Startup experience and ability to build systems from the ground up
Willingness to travel as needed
