A nationally recognized design-build firm is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Atlanta office. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, particularly within commercial, industrial, or mission-critical environments. The firm is known for delivering integrated design and construction solutions across the U.S. and internationally.

Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design efforts for large-scale projects, collaborate with internal design and construction teams, and ensure systems meet performance, safety, and code requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Develop construction documents, specifications, and system layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and equipment selection.
  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, and construction teams to ensure integrated design.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to NEC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and client presentations.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design for buildings or industrial facilities.
  • PE licensure strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes, standards, and design best practices.
  • Experience with design-build project delivery is a plus.
