The company specializes in restoring and protecting building façades through expert craftsmanship, advanced techniques, and high‑quality service. Role Summary
The Estimator will prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates and proposals for façade restoration and waterproofing projects. The role includes reviewing plans, conducting site evaluations, creating quantity take-offs, and coordinating with internal teams and clients. Experience in building envelope work, masonry restoration, and waterproofing systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Bidding
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Develop detailed quantity take-offs for façade restoration and waterproofing scopes.
- Prepare competitive bid proposals and pricing packages.
Project Analysis & Site Assessments
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing façade conditions and identify scope requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to define scope and develop cost-effective solutions.
- Assess and compare subcontractor and supplier pricing.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Participate in pre-bid walkthroughs and client meetings.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Support project kickoff and handoff to ensure scope accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of estimating experience in façade restoration, masonry, waterproofing, or related building envelope fields.
Strong knowledge of façade restoration services, including:
- Brick replacement
- Masonry and stone repointing
- Crack repair and façade stabilization
- Lintel repair/replacement
- Terra cotta repair and replication
- Stone replacement and architectural detail restoration
- Cleaning, sealing, coatings, and waterproofing treatments
- Leak investigation and remediation
Familiarity with waterproofing systems such as:
- Sealant removal and replacement
- EIFS waterproofing
- Cementitious and crystalline waterproofing
- Air and vapor barrier installations
- Expansion joint systems
- Flashing installation
- Cavity wall drainage
- Curtain wall and window perimeter sealing
- Parking garage waterproofing (horizontal/vertical)
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings.
Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
