They have been in the industry for 10+ years and specialize in commercial and residential engineering inspections for the insurance industry. You will spend your time working on a wide variety of projects including commercial structures, high rise buildings and residential buildings, investigating the root cause of failures within the structure. You will investigate construction defects, moisture intrusion and storm damage. You will have the opportunity to target the type of work you're interested in and have the support of an established forensic engineering company
Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design for various building projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success.
- Perform forensic investigations to identify building failures and provide expert testimony.
- Design and consult on building envelopes to ensure structural integrity and energy efficiency.
- Provide civil, structural, and mechanical engineering services to support construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering with some forensic experience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
