A rapidly expanding, globally established engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to launch and lead a new division in the Atlanta region. What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee all division operations, including staffing, workload planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Serve as Principal-in-Charge for major geotechnical projects, providing technical oversight and ensuring quality deliverables
  • Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and technical staff
  • Build and strengthen client relationships; oversee proposals, contracts, and project execution
  • Track KPIs, financial performance, and implement strategies to drive division growth and profitability
  • Collaborate cross-regionally with senior leadership to support strategic expansion initiatives
  • Play an integral role in business development supported by strong internal BD, marketing, and operational teams
  • Visit field sites as needed (valid driver's license required)

What You Bring

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience, including project and team leadership
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with geotechnical engineering and design software
  • Experience managing major projects, clients, and financial performance
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset - ideal for leaders who thrive in high-growth environments
