A leading heavy civil contractor is seeking a Project Engineer to support projects in the Alexandria, VA area. This role is ideal for someone with experience in site development and concrete construction, looking to grow within a strong project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project management and field teams on daily operations
- Assist with submittals, RFIs, scheduling, and project documentation
- Track quantities, costs, and project progress
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews
- Review plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar role
- Experience in site development (earthwork, utilities, stormwater)
- Strong knowledge of concrete, including large pours and formwork
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Construction-related degree preferred
