Land Survey - Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accuracy and integrity of all surveying documentation, including detailed survey plans, official record plats, metes and bounds descriptions, title commitment evaluations, and construction layout coordination.
  • Deliver comprehensive weekly updates on project milestones, progress, and performance metrics to stakeholders and the management team.
  • Manage and direct all surveying operations, ensuring effective supervision of personnel, allocation of technical resources, and consistent client engagement across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Develop, implement, and execute rigorous quality control reviews, along with safety and quality assurance protocols to maintain compliance and excellence.
  • Clearly articulate and promote our Integrated Business Model during written proposals and verbal presentations, reinforcing our leadership position and expanding market influence.
  • Drive business development initiatives by cultivating relationships with prospective and existing clients, identifying opportunities for collaboration and growth.
  • Monitor and manage project financials, including budget oversight, profitability tracking, and preparation of billing reports for timely invoicing; collaborate with accounting on collections and account reconciliation.
  • Support staff development through mentorship, training, and performance management; ensure contract accuracy and maintain accountability for financial and operational metrics.
  • Represent and uphold our brand, values, and organizational culture through professionalism, positive attitude, and exemplary conduct.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to project success by maintaining flexibility and working the hours necessary to meet objectives.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support organizational goals.

Required Abilities:

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional surveying experience.
  • Professional Land Surveyor license
  • Documented success in leadership roles and business development efforts.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related technical applications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across all organizational levels and client environments.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex drawings, technical documents, and specifications.
