Licensed Structural Engineer

This position can be remote; however, candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, or Kansas City. Must be P.E Licensed.

An established, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial consulting engineering firm is seeking to expand its Structural Engineering team. The Role

The Structural Engineer will play a key role within the structural team, contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of a diverse range of projects. This individual will be responsible for developing technical solutions, supporting project execution, and engaging directly with clients and internal stakeholders.

This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, balancing technical design with project coordination and client interaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design and analysis across a variety of project types
  • Develop detailed calculations, drawings, and construction documents
  • Support the delivery of projects from concept through construction
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external subconsultants
  • Participate in construction administration, including site visits and RFIs
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and delivery of segmented workstreams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Strong technical design and analytical capabilities
  • Proven experience producing calculations and construction documentation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on water and wastewater projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
  • Prior experience in a consulting engineering environment
